Push Back Rack Systems Move Pallets with Dynamic Gravity Flow
UNARCO RACKING push back systems offer industrial facilities superior density compared to standard selective rack while eliminating the lift truck transit damage common in drive-in racking.
Push Back Rack Up Close
Low-profile welded steel carts maximize vertical clearance, allowing higher stacking within limited ceiling heights.
Durable Cart System
Heavy-duty structural carts feature four lubricated, completely sealed steel wheels capable of supporting up to 2,500 lbs each.
How Push Back Works
Front-loading dynamic operation where pallets push back rear units, rolling forward smoothly under controlled gravity when picked.
High-Density Utilization
Store 2 to 6 pallets deep per lane with 100% SKU availability along the pick aisle face without entering the rack structure.
Maximum Space Utilization with LIFO Rotation
UNARCO RACKING push back rack systems are manufactured using heavy-duty roll-formed or structural channel steel frames. The system works through a series of nested welded steel carts that ride along inclined structural steel rails configured with precision pitch control.
As a pallet is placed on the front position by a forklift, it gently pushes the pallet behind it back one position into the rack bay. When the front pallet is unloaded, gravity feeds the trailing pallets forward automatically to the aisle face. Lift truck operators never drive into the racking footprint, drastically reducing frame impact and operator transit time.
Engineered For High-Throughput Warehouse Distribution
Each vertical level operates completely independently from the lanes above and below. Warehouses can maintain different SKUs on every tier, yielding up to 90% more storage capacity than selective rack configurations while preserving multi-product accessibility.
Push Back Rack Engineering Highlights
Compliant with RMI / ANSI MH16.1 specifications, our push back systems deliver dependable performance in ambient, cooler, and sub-zero freezer environments.
- Zero Rack Entry for Lift Trucks Forklift operators load and retrieve pallets strictly from the aisle face, preventing structural upright collisions.
- 2 to 6 Deep Storage Depth Multi-pallet lane depth compresses aisles into active storage space, increasing floor-space efficiency by 75% or more.
- Heavy Load Capacity Robust welded steel cart structures engineered to safely support 2,500 lbs (1,130 kg) or more per cart position.
- Color-Coded Visual Inventory Management Carts can be coated in distinct colors, allowing lift truck drivers to instantly identify how many pallets remain in each lane.
- Custom Pallet Configurations UNARCO RACKING engineers carts to handle weak, non-standard, plastic, or custom-dimension pallets without deflection.
- Low-Maintenance Sealed Bearings Four hardened steel wheels with permanently sealed lubricated bearings ensure reliable gravity flow with minimal upkeep.
